Many drivers compare tyre prices in Dubai with what they hear about tyres in Sharjah and wonder whether it is worth the trip to save a few dirhams. At Saeedi Pro we fit tyres across the UAE every day, so here is an honest answer rather than a sales pitch.
The price on the wall is only part of what a tyre really costs you. Add fitting quality, included services, fuel, time and the risk of old or unofficial stock, and the lowest price is not always the best value.
Quick Answer: A lower tyre price in Sharjah can be a genuine saving, but only if you compare like for like. Add fitting, balancing, alignment, warranty and the fuel and time for the trip, and check the manufacture date. Once everything is counted, a fair Dubai price with proper fitting and included services often gives better value.
- The sticker price is only part of what a tyre really costs you.
- A very low quote can hide old stock, unofficial imports, poor fitting or extras charged on top.
- Always check the four-digit date code before you pay, wherever you shop.
- Genuine, traceable tyres with a local warranty, such as NEXEN Tire, protect the value of what you buy.
Why are tyre prices sometimes lower in Sharjah?
Because costs and stock differ from shop to shop, not because tyres are worth less in one emirate. Some outlets have lower rents, and heavy competition between each tyre shop in Sharjah pushes headline prices down.
The catch is that a very low price has to come from somewhere. It can be stock that has sat in a warehouse for years, grey imports with no local warranty support, or a price that only looks low because fitting and balancing are charged on top.
What hidden costs can the lowest price carry?
The biggest hidden cost is age. The last four digits of the DOT code on the sidewall show the week and year the tyre was made, and Continental’s guidance on replacing tyres notes that drivers cannot rely on a visual check to spot ageing rubber. A bargain tyre that has been in storage for years has already used up part of its life. Our guide on how to check tyre age shows you where to look.
The other hidden costs sit in the fitting and the after-sales. A rushed fit with poor balancing or skipped alignment makes even a good tyre wear unevenly, and a tyre with no proper paperwork leaves you on your own if something goes wrong. Under the UAE’s consumer protection rules, suppliers must give you a dated invoice showing the trader and the goods sold, so always ask for one.
What should a tyre price in the UAE actually include?
When you compare a tyre price in the UAE, line up what each quote covers, not just the number. Here is what to check, whichever shop you use.
| What to check | Real value quote | Lowest-price quote |
|---|---|---|
| The tyre | Correct size, load and speed rating for your car | May be a close size or whatever is in stock |
| Manufacture date | Recent stock, date code shown before fitting | Often not mentioned unless you ask |
| Authenticity | Official stock you can trace, such as RFID-tagged NEXEN Tire tyres | Origin can be unclear |
| Fitting and balancing | Included, with correct wheel nut torque | Sometimes charged separately or skipped |
| Wheel alignment | Checked and adjusted on proper equipment | Rarely included |
| Warranty and invoice | Dated invoice and local warranty support | May be limited or unclear |
Which tyre do we recommend for real value?
Our recommended tyre is NEXEN Tire, the Korean brand that supplies original equipment tyres to car makers including Porsche, Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW. NEXEN Tire tyres are GCC Standardization (GSO) certified and carry RFID tagging for authenticity and traceability, which matters when the alternative is stock of unknown origin.
At Saeedi Pro, NEXEN Tire tyres come with a 2-year manufacturing warranty, and buying a set of four includes free wheel alignment. The range covers N’Blue and N’Fera for passenger cars and Roadian for SUVs and 4x4s. For a current NEXEN Tire tyres price for your size, just ask us for an all-in quote.
Does the drive itself cost you more than you save?
Often, yes, once you count everything. Fuel for the round trip, your time in traffic and wear on the car all eat into the saving. In summer it is worse: the US Department of Energy says air conditioning can cut fuel economy by more than 25% in very hot conditions. Save fifty dirhams but spend two hours on the road, and the maths rarely works.
If a shop in Sharjah has the right tyre in recent stock, with a real warranty, and still wins after fuel and time, it can be a sensible choice. In our experience, most drivers who do the full sum find the best value is the tyre fitted properly the first time.
Here is something worth knowing as a car owner. Every set of four tyres at Saeedi Pro comes with four services included at no extra cost: wheel balancing, wheel alignment, tyre rotation and nitrogen filling. That matters because a tyre is only as good as the way it is fitted and set up, and those four jobs are exactly what make a new tyre last and stay safe in the heat. It applies to every tyre brand we stock. You can see the current deals on our tyre offers page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are tyre prices lower in Sharjah than in Dubai?
Some Sharjah shops charge less because of lower overheads and heavy competition, but not always. The fair comparison is like for like: fitting, balancing, alignment, warranty and free services, plus the fuel and time it takes to get there and back.
Q: How do I avoid buying old tyres when chasing a discount?
Check the four-digit date code on the sidewall before you pay. The first two digits are the week and the last two are the year of manufacture. Ask for recent stock, because an old discounted tyre is not a real saving.
Q: What should be included in a tyre quote?
A complete quote should cover the tyre in the correct size and rating, fitting, wheel balancing, disposal of the old tyre and a dated invoice with warranty details. If alignment is not included, ask its price so you can compare quotes fairly.
Q: Why does Saeedi Pro recommend NEXEN Tire tyres?
NEXEN Tire is an original equipment supplier to brands such as Porsche, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, its tyres are GSO certified and RFID tagged for authenticity, and at Saeedi Pro they come with a 2-year manufacturing warranty and free alignment with a set of four.
Q: What free services come with new tyres at Saeedi Pro?
Buying four tyres at Saeedi Pro includes four services free: wheel balancing, wheel alignment, tyre rotation and nitrogen filling. These are jobs you would normally pay for separately, and they help new tyres wear evenly.
